2023 News – Residency in Ireland

I was offered a residence at Cill Rialaig Artists’ Retreat, in Kerry during June and early July 2023. The focus of my work there was different from past years, and the beginning of a new artistic journey in to music and visual art.

I started to learn the Celtic harp in late 2021, I am now working on improvisation and music for meditation. Focusing on the wild landscape with its crumbling field walls and remains of ancient structures. Making drawings on manuscript paper, I developed a system of musical notation that offers a starting point for

improvisation.  [See drawing Gallery] My journey as a harpist is beginning.

Sadly, there is very little else for 2023 due the new European strain of COVID. I had it badly and took awhile to get back into any artwork.

Northern Bellarine Arts Trail 2023 – was a great success with sales and about 200 visitors to my studio/gallery in late November.
