Natimuk Frinj Festival 31 October – 2 November

I will be installing a two-part work titled Party Lines and Trunk Calls.

Based in and around the historic Courthouse, Natimuk, the installation will include a curated objects exhibition inspired by the stories of local women who worked in telephone exchanges in 1950s and 60s, and memories of party line telephones in the local area.

I am most grateful for the support of the Arapiles Historical Society for allowing access to their collection and for the use of the Courthouse interior including display cases.

The external installation will be set in trees behind the Courthouse, and take its inspiration from phone numbers and party line connections; it will be brightly coloured and lit at night.
